Martha Garrett

Martha Garrett, age 61, passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 10:37 AM. She was born in Hamilton on May 18, 1946 the daughter of William and Martha (Hoskins) Wagers. Martha was a homemaker who loved her children and family, and was a member of Glory Road Worship Center. On December 26, 1964 in Newport, Kentucky she married Millard "Buddy" Garrett.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Garrett; seven children, Ronald (Melinda) Garrett, their children Ronald and Anthony, Lisa (Charles) Garrett Morris, their children Brittany and Tiffany, Millard "Dale" Garrett and his daughter Sierra, Shane (Tammy) Garrett and their children Austin, Ashton, Devon, and Shane, Martha "Chrissy" Garrettt, Brittany Garrett and her daughter Halle, and Bradley Garrett; two brothers, Mahan Wagers and William (Carol) Wagers; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who she greatly adored. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Alfred Wagers, James Edward Wagers, and Marvin Wagers; and two sisters, Ethel Couch and Tody Wagers.

Funeral service will be held at the Glory Road Worship Center, 199 Highland Avenue (New Miami), on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Revs. Vernon Williams, Charles Petit, and David Longworth officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and concern.
