Martha Louise Messelling, age 65 of Hanover Township passed away at her residence on Friday, April 20, 2007. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on November 6, 1941 the daughter of Francis and Concha (Alvarez) Blake. Martha was a former employee of Pillsbury, International Paper, and Berkeley Square.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children, Ricky L. (Elizabeth) Messelling of Hanover Township and Tracee A. (Mike) McIntosh of St. Clair Township; three grandchildren of whom she was very proud, Pvt. Timothy R. McIntosh, Tyler Scott Messelling, and Kyle L. Messelling; her mother, Concha Blake of Clarksburg, West Virginia; a brother, David Blake of Fredericksburg, Texas; and the father of her children, Richard L. Messelling of Hanover Township. She was preceded in death by her father.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. In keeping with Mrs. Messelling’s wishes, her body has been donated to medical science. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
