Mary L. Clark, age 91 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 7:15 PM. She was born in Georgetown, Ohio on September 1, 1918 the daughter of Floyd and Elsie (Evans) Collins. Mary attended Hamilton Schools and was employed as a sorter at Champion Paper Company for 36 years, retiring in 1983. Prior to Champion she was employed by Greens Drug Store. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing, playing the guitar and organ, and also sang with the Jack Chapman Band at the Venice Pavilion. Mary was a faithful member of the Hamilton Christian Center and also attended Freedom Chapel on Sunday evenings. In 1934 in Hamilton she married Elmer Grabel and he preceded her in death in 1984 and in 1973 in Hamilton she married William Clark, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William Clark, Jr. of Hamilton; one son, Ron Grabel of Inverness, Florida; step daughter, Mimi (Steve) Morgan of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Allan and Terry (Rhonda) Grabel and their mother, Jean Lawson; three great-grandchildren, Joe, Savannah, and Logan Grabel; great-great-grandson, Damien; three step grandsons, Shane, Shawn, and Austin Morgan; two nieces, Joan (J.C.) Wilson and Judy (Jerry) Reynolds; two nephews, Jim (Barb) Collins and John (Angie) Collins; and her numerous friends and extended church families. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Collins; and sister, Florence Marie Smith.
Funeral service will be held at the Hamilton Christian Center, 1940 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Johnny Wade Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Fort Hamilton IMC Unit and April McCoy of Hospice of Cincinnati for helping Mary with her passing, you are a special person April. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hamilton Christian Center.
