Mary Ruth Crawford

Mary Ruth Crawford, age 87 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Friday, June 17, 2011. She was born in Middletown on August 28, 1923 the daughter of Edgar Elsworth and Ida May (Wray) Schooley. Mary was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton. On August 22, 1940 in Covington, Kentucky she married Lloyd C. Crawford, and he preceded her in death in 1998.

She is survived by a son, Lowell T. (Linda) Crawford of Florida; two daughters, Patricia K. (William) Menchen of Hamilton and Eva Lynne Crawford of Fairfield; three brothers, Edgar (Nell) Schooley Jr. of Fairfield, Robert (Janice) Schooley of Greenville, Ohio, and Richard (Kathy) Schooley of Hamilton; three sisters Lois K. (Leon) Siler of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Carol J. (Lamar) Bowcock and Nell E. Bowlin, both of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Patrick Crawford and Jamie Renee Crawford , both of Arizona; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Eldon, Norman, David and Joe Schooley; and two sisters, Betty Harmon and Miriam Hoskins.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Rick Witt of Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Mary’s family extends a special thank you to her niece and caregiver Kimberly Bell of West Chester for all her loving care and support.
