Mary E. (Maupin) Dallis, age 71 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 11:48 PM. She was born in Middletown on October 31, 1937 the daughter of Troy and Pearlie (Watkins) Puckett. Mary, known affectionately to many as "Mamaw," was employed as a companion for the elderly at Home Instead Senior Care. She was a published author of "Vengeance is Mine" and a founding member of Calvary Christian Center. On March 28, 1992 in Williamsdale, she married James Dallis.
She is survived by her husband, James Dallis of Hamilton; a son, Lester Anthony (Debi) Maupin of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Robyn Creech and Adam Maupin; two great-grandchildren, Roy and Duncan; a brother, George Puckett of Middletown; a sister, Betty Wells of Middletown; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Kenneth Puckett; and her son’s father, Lester Maupin.
Funeral service will be held at the Calvary Christian Center, 2355 Jacksonburg Road, on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastors Jim and Diane Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
