Mary Ellen Miller

Mary Ellen Miller, age 86 of Hamilton passed away at Golden Years Living Center on Friday, March 18, 2011. She was born in Hamilton on May 11, 1924 the daughter of Albert and Dora Lee (Simpson) Stidham. Mary retired from Champion International on August 8, 1986 after 19 years of service. After she retired, she was a volunteer at Fort Hamilton Hospital. On December 28, 1961 in Hamilton she married Samuel Miller, and he preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Marlene P. (Jack) Creech; a son, Kenneth E. (Barbara) Pierson; an aunt, Jewell Stidham; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Samuel Miller; her former husband and father of her children, Kenneth W. Pierson; her parents; two brothers, Bernard Russell Stidham and Sylvester "Junior" Stidham; and an infant daughter, Shirley Rae Pierson.

Private services with Rev. Grant Montgomery officiating will be held at the convenience of the family.
