Mary A. Hicks, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, October 19, 2013. She was born in Somerset, KY on June 19, 1935 to Farris and Nannie (Rose) Hicks. Mary was a member of the Gordon Avenue Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her brother George Stanley Hicks, of Hamilton, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, two sister in laws and special friends.
Mary was preceeded in death by her parents, brothers Marshall, David, and Samuel, and one sister in law.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:30 PM with Mike Gentry of Highland Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 1:30-2:30 PM at the funeral home.
