Mary Jane Davis

Mary Jane Davis, age 99 of Oregonia, passed away at Otterbein Retirement Community on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 22, 1919 the daughter of John Clyde Lena (Eads) Sapp. Mary was a member of the Walden Pond Community Church of the Nazarene. On March 15, 1941 in Hamilton she married Wilmer R. Davis and he preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by her son, Terry Lee Davis; three grandchildren, Amber Lee (Christopher) Schnecker, Brittany (Brett) Holsinger, and Christopher Allen Davis; three siblings, Rev. Merle (Barbara)Sapp, Marty Brown, and Lois Jean Smith; five greatgrandchildren, Blake, Chelsea, Sofia, Ella, and Jeremy; and numeraouis other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary P. Davis and seven siblings, Jack, Kenneth, Ralph, and Robert Sapp, Ruth Gleason, Velma Muncy, and Violet Clark.

Funeral service will be held at the Walden Ponds Community Church of the Nazarene, 6590 Walden Ponds Circle, on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Harville Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at the church.
