Mary Jane Kaiser

Age 94, of Hamilton died peacefully in her sleep at Westover Retirement Community on Thursday, September 27, 2012. She was born on May 27, 1918 and grew up in the Cleveland area. She was a proud graduate of Ursuline Academy of Cleveland in 1936. Mary Jane graduated from Miami University with a degree in education and taught at Queen of Peace Catholic School for two years, and then in the Hamilton City School system for 19 years, spending time at Jefferson, Fillmore and Adams Elementary Schools. She was known as a gifted teacher who challenged her students and brought education to life for them. Mary Jane traveled extensively and used the many photographs and souvenirs from these trips to transport her students to many distant parts of the world through her "Magic Carpet" slide shows. Following her retirement, she was active for many years at Queen of Peace Church through the Sunday school program.

She was preceded in her journey to the Lord by Robert B. Kaiser, her husband of 54 years, in 2005 and is survived by her son, Robert D. Kaiser and his wife Elsie Hall Kaiser of Cincinnati, and her grandchildren, Robert B. (Jessika) Kaiser of Eugene, Oregon and Laura M. Kaiser of Cincinnati.

Visitation 10:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial (11:30am), Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, with Fr. Jim Widig, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery.
