Mary Jane Mann

Mary Jane Mann, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Birchwood Care Center on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 3:35 AM. She was born in Hamilton on August 22, 1922 the daughter of Earl and Geneva (Getz) Lyons. Mary was a member of the VFW #1069 Women’s Auxiliary, Five Aces Club, and Women of the Moose #28. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. On June 28, 1941 in Hamilton she was married to Leroy Thomas Mann, who preceded her in death in 1976.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen (Frank) Herzog of Hamilton; three sons, Raymond (Connie) Mann, Neil Mann, and Steve (Amber) Mann, all of Hamilton; four sisters, Irma (John) Smith, Melba Burns, Nancy (Eugene) McFarland, and Lois (James) Pohlman, all of Hamilton; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Karen (Stewart) Mann of West Chester; two brothers-in-law, Albert Enderle of Fairfield and Doug Paxton of Hamilton; and a sister-in-law, Rena Lyons of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerry Mann; a daughter, Linda Paxton; four brothers, James, Jacque, Robert and Don Lyons; and a sister, Marion Enderle.

Prayers will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Birchwood Care Center for their care and support.
