Mary Elizabeth Moran

Mary Elizabeth Moran, age 89 of Hamilton since 2001, formerly of Jackson Heights, New York, passed to eternal rest at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 8:55 PM. She was born in Ballinlough, County Roscommon, Ireland on October 8, 1917 the daughter of John and Brigid (Swift) Reynolds. Mary was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Jackson Heights, New York, and a member of the Altar Rosary Society of the parish. She was employed as an administrative assistant for Citibank of New York, New York for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1983. On February 10, 1946 in New York, New York she was married to William Moran, and he preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann (Ronald) Berg of Fairfield; one brother, Patrick Reynolds of Birmingham, England; two sisters, Anne Clarke and Bridget Tully, both of Birmingham, England; and two grandchildren, Christopher A. Berg, PHD, of Carrollton, Georgia and Susan J. Berg of Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, James, John, and Billy Reynolds.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Mike Pucke, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Employees Need Fund or Benevolent Fund.
