Mary Fay Ninke

Mary Fay Ninke, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at her daughter’s home in Georgetown, Kentucky on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 11:45 PM. She was born in Glencarn, Ohio on January 10, 1924 the daughter of Charles and Mary Catherine (Norris) Timmons. Mary was employed in the dietary department of Powells Nursing Home. On February 1, 1942 she married Jerry Sterling Ninke Sr., and he preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Sterling Ninke Jr. and Daniel Lee Ninke, both of Hamilton; two daughters, Hannah Marriah Miller of Georgetown, Kentucky and Robin Marie (Thomas) Johnson of Hamilton; 16 grandchildren, Deborah (Jeff) Powell, Bonnie (Ronnie) Roark, Tina Baker, Vicki Miller, Patricia (Jody) Johnson, Jerry Sterling (Barb) Ninke III, Autumn Ninke, Jordan Ninke, Zoe Ninke, Ryan (Karla) Johnson, April Ninke, Steven Smith, Goldie Smith, Angie Parker, Lisa (Kevin) Blue, and Christina (Mike) Hollinsworth; 28 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Ruby Campbell of Geneva, Indiana, Cora Hicks of Union City, Ohio, Helen Overbay of West Milton, Ohio, and Bonnie (Don) Cox of Tipp City, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Valma Ninke and Connie Noble; one son, Herman Ninke; four brothers, Basil, Chalmer, Dale, and her twin Robert Timmons; two sisters, Geneva Barnard and Annabelle Clark; two granddaughters, Clora Mitchell and Penny Smith; and two great-granddaughters, Jason Baker and Michelle Mitchell.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Barry Clardy, Pastor of Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
