Mary Rader, age 96 of Hamilton passed away at Golden Years Health Care on Friday, January 29, 2010. She was born in Estill County, Kentucky on July 15, 1913 the daughter of Mardie and Elvira (McIntosh) Wells. Mary was employed as a press operator at National Can for 23 years, retiring in 1974. She has been a member of Princeton Pike Church of God since 1958.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sue Evans of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Lora (Paul) Williams of Oxford, Lonnie (Jill) Durbin of Central, South Carolina, and Tony (Roxanna) Durbin of Columbia, Kentucky; seven great-grandchildren, Casey and Aryn Durbin, Brandi Bates and her fiancé Danny Hoffman, Jamie and Bradley Durbin, Jacob and Nicolas Williams; a great-great-grandson Nathan; three brothers, Emmett (Josie) Wells of Hamilton, Elmer (Nancy) Wells of South Carolina, and Eddie (Margie) Wells of Georgia; and a special former son-in-law, Lonnie Durbin. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Elizabeth, Myrtle, Dorothy, Stella, and Florence; and one brother, Earl.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Rick Witt of Faith Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
