Mary Louise Simmons

Mary Louise Simmons, age 93 of Centerville passed away at Liberty Retirement Community on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 10:50 AM. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky on May 9, 1917 the daughter of Carl Edward and Lucy (Dressel) Weilenmann. Mary was a member of Redeemer Church. In October, 1937 she married Thomas Marshall Simmons and he preceded her in death in 1977.

She is survived by a son, Carl (Janet) Simmons of Dayton; four grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Simmons of LaFayette, Louisiana, Lynn Simmons of Hernando, Mississippi, Todd (Meghan) Simmons of South Barrington, Illinois, and Amy (David) Fugate of West Chester; and five great-grandchildren, Allison Fugate, Kyleigh Simmons, Connor Simmons, Kyle Fugate, and Margaret Simmons. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Thomas L. Simmons.

Funeral service will be held at Redeemer Church, 3431 Hamilton Middletown Road, on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Kim Katterheinrich and Rev. Dennis Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Redeemer Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of donor’s choice.
