Mary Ann Swanner

Mary Ann Swanner, age 62 of Fairfield Township passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 18, 1948 the daughter of Sant and Elizabeth (Reynolds) Johnson. Mary Ann was a devoted teacher’s aide at Fairfield East Elementary, a member of North Fairfield Baptist Church, and a member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS). She will be missed by her family, friends, and beloved dog, Cody. On May 3, 1969 in Hamilton she married Stanley Swanner.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Swanner of Fairfield Township; a son, Jimmy (Carey) Swanner of Salisbury, North Carolina; two grandsons, Dylan and Shane of Salisbury, North Carolina; a brother, Sant (Edna) Johnson of Lebanon; her mother-in-law, Helen Swanner of Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Paulette (Ben) Boggess of Hamilton; a niece Becki Bogges of Hamilton; and nephew, B.A. Boggess of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at the North Fairfield Baptist Church, 6853 Gilmore Road, on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Mary Ann’s family extends their thanks to all her family and friends for their prayers and support.
