Mary Ella Thomas

Mary Ella Thomas, age 64 of Apopka, Florida, formerly of Hamilton, passed away at Health Center, Ocoee, Florida on December 26, 2009. She was born in Hamilton on January 2, 1945 the daughter of Noah and Cynthia (Jones) Baker. On January 12, 1963 in Hamilton she married James D. Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Thomas of Apopka, Florida; five children, Kimberly Johns of Apopka, Florida, James Randall Thomas of Apopka, Florida, Karen Thomas of Palm Coast, Florida, Patricia Worrell of Apopka, Florida, and Daniel Thomas of Orlando, Florida; two brothers, Gene Baker of Hamilton and Junior Baker of Indiana; four sisters, Lois Roark of Cincinnati, Netha Smith, Melva Shepherd, and Martha Brock, all of Hamilton; and fifteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul and Earl Baker.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Golden Brock and Norma Jean Sackenheim officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
