Mary Ann Malone Wehr

Mary Ann Malone Wehr, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away in Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 9:25 AM. She was born in Hamilton on January 14, 1918, the daughter of George and Josephine (Langhorst) Beer. Mary Ann was a 1936 graduate of Notre Dame High School and a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church. On June 7, 1939 in Hamilton, she was married to William Malone and he preceded her in death in 1975; in 1979 in West Chester, she was married to Paul Wehr and he preceded her in death in 1991.

She is survived by two sons; Harold (Mary) Malone of Kalamazoo, Michigan and James (Karen) Malone of Charleston, South Carolina; three daughters, Patricia (George) Gordon and Dorothy (Charles) Gordon both of Hamilton; and Diane (Ronald) Hoelle of San Angelo, Texas; one sister, Margaret Weigand of Hamilton; thirteen grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She is also survived by two step-sons, Paul Wehr of Cincinnati and Daniel (Cherrie) Wehr of Sharonville and one step-daughter Deborah Wehr of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William Malone; four brothers, Carl, Robert, Elmer and George Beer; and one step-grandson, Jason Harbin in 1996.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Father Patrick Duffy, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder, 1302 Millville Ave. on Thursday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Activity Fund at Schroder Manor. Family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to the Staff of Schroder Manor for their loving care and concern.
