Mary Ann Jacquemin, age 98 of Hamilton, passed away at StoryPoint Fairfield on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Mary was born in Port Union, Ohio on May 16, 1926 to the late George and Thresia (Badinghaus) Hangbers. Raised in Port Union, she married the love of her life, Eugene, in October of 1948. Together, they raised a family and owned & operated Gene’s Carry-Out and Sohio Gas Station in Port Union for many, many years. They also enjoyed gardening and sold produce to Jungle Jim’s as well. Mary is survived by her daughters, Pat (Joe) Hoffman and Kathie (Mark) Wernke; her grandsons, Chris (Laura) Hoffman and Kevin Hoffman; her great-grandchildren, Emma and Alex; as well as many extended family members and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jacquemin; and her siblings, Johnny Hangbers, Rita Jacquemin, Hank Hangbers, Gertrude Hangbers and Margaret Rosmarin. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM until her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013, with Fr. George Jacquemin & Fr. Louis Jacquemin, Celebrants. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Queen of Peace Catholic Church or Queen City Hospice .
