Matthew Eugene Mardis

Matthew Eugene Mardis, age 23 of Hamilton went to be in Heaven with the Angels on September 19, 2008. He was born in Hamilton on July 24, 1985. Matthew loved all the natures of life. He enjoyed them often by hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. Matt was a true outdoorsman always dressing in his camouflage clothes. He was deeply loved by so many people and will be sadly missed until the day when we will see him again in Heaven.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Homer and Tonya Mardis; mother and step-father, Lisa and Jerry Gray; his precious children, Jesse Wyatt Eugene Mardis and Kelly LeeAnne Martin; siblings, Brandi Michelle Livering, Ashley Marie Mardis, Christopher Chad Mardis, PVT Joshua Lee Mardis, Eric Daniel Livering, Brandy Irene Mardis, Zachary Wade Livering, Kristina Gray, Candice Gray, J.W. Gray and Kaitlynn Gray; grandparents, Ronald and Elizabeth Mardis, Sr., Barbara French, and Don and Connie Sackenheim; and numerous other loved ones, family, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Paul Marcum of Fellowship Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
