Mattie L. Andrews

Mattie L. Andrews age 67 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 11:55AM. She was born in Hamilton on July 21, 1941, the daughter of the late Calvin James and Gladys Georgia (Retherford) Frazier. She was a retired employee for Golden Years Health Care after twenty-eight years of employment. Mattie enjoyed being with family and friends. She attended Hamilton Assembly of God. On August 1, 1957, she married Paul Lowell Andrews, who passed away December 23, 1995.

She is survived by five children, James Lowell (Kathy) Andrews of Hamilton, Shirley May (Steve) Holland of Trenton, Paula Jean Andrews of Hamilton, Tony Lee (Sandy) Andrews of Hamilton and Timothy Richard (Cecilia) Andrews of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Summer, April, Amber, Timmy, Tiffany, Victoria, Stephanie and Stephen; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Stella (Clifford) Powell, Imogene (Earl) Andrews, Carolyn (Larry) Gault, and Devona (Randy) Wilhelm, all of Hamilton; two brothers, Emery (Jerri) Frazier of Hamilton and Paul (Molly) Frazier of Clearwater, Florida and a special friend, Katie Johnson of Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held at the Hamilton Assembly of God, 1940 West Elkton Rd., on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 10:30AM with the Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5PM to 8PM. Mattie’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to all those who had cared for her.
