Mattie E. Hooker, age 99 of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Mattie was born in Indee, Kentucky on April 10, 1919 to John and Nannie Bowman. On October 31, 1937, Mattie was married to Roland L. Hooker in Liberty, IN. Mattie enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She was also an amazing gardener.
Mattie is survived by daughters, Gail Miller and Donna (David) Eve; her grandchildren, Pamela Gross, Doug (Sherry) LeForce, and Jodie (Jerry) Sager; her great-grandchildren, Natasha Gross, Ashleigh Gross, Samuel Gross, Lyndsay (Kevin) Helvey, Shannon (Ryan) Hall, and Josh LeForce; numerous great great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; her husband of 59 years, Roland L. Hooker; her daughter, Lavonne Hooker; her son-in-law, Michael Gross; and her granddaughter, Cheryl Miller.
Graveside service will be held at Millville Cemetery, 2289 Millville Ave, Hamilton, OH on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wendell Coning officiating.
