Mattie Marie Thompson

Mattie Marie Thompson, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Friday November 19, 2010 at 3:30AM. Mattie was born in Owsley County Kentucky on February 20, 1918; the daughter of Thomas and Nellie (Neeley) Peters. On June 25, 1945, in Covington, Kentucky, she married Glenn Thompson, and he preceded her in death in 1984.

Mattie is survived by two brothers; Don Peters, and Wayne (Elaine) Peters; three sisters; Loretta Neal, Virginia (Bud) Walters, Mary (Kenny) Campbell; and many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home 330 Pershing Ave. on Tuesday November 23, at 11AM with Rev. Larry Gaines of New Life Baptist Mission officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10AM to 11AM. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Butler County Care Facility and Vitas Hospice for all their loving care and support.
