Maudie Lue Pearson, age 70 of Seven Mile passed away at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 3:05 PM. She was born in Sand Gap, Kentucky on July 30, 1936. Maudie worked as a secretary for Pearson Electric for several years and was a homemaker. Her greatest joy in life was doing things for others, and she will always be remembered for the wonderful meals she cooked. On November 2, 1954 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana she married Virgil Pearson, and they celebrated over fifty years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2005.
She is survived by her children, Bridget (John) Freyling of San Antonio, Texas, Barbara (Daryl) Adams, Rick (Linda) Pearson, both of Hamilton, Randy (Shawna) Pearson of Somerville, and her very special daughter Pennie (Brian) Childs that loved and cared for her tirelessly; grandchildren Angie (Cliff), Michael (J. Marie), Dustin, Erik, Lesleigh, Jake, Travis, Katie, Sara, Taylor, and Connor; and her guardian angel, great-granddaughter Aubriana; now it is Mamaw Pearson’s turn to guard over us. She is also survived by a brother, Elmer Murphy of Kentucky; a sister, May Bowles of Miamisburg, Ohio; sisters-in-law Grace Whitaker and Ruby Pearson; brother-in-law, Stanley Pearson; brother and sister-in-law, Bronce and Rosie Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gertrude Murphy; five brothers, Harold, Floyd, Charlie, Les and Robert; and four sisters, Hazel, Eudell, Sudie, and Ethel.
Funeral service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1770 Eaton Road, on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Orville Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Pennie would like to thank the entire staff of Mercy Hospital Fairfield for their wonderful care of her mother. A very special thank you to Maudie’s "dream team" of doctors, Greater Cincinnati Cardiovascular Consultants, Dr. Manavalan and Dr. William Krall and his nurse Linda for all the exceptional care she received. With their knowledge, love and compassion we were blessed with several more years with our mother and grandmother. She was able to be with us to see her only great-granddaughter, Aubriana, born. Aubriana put a smile on Mamaw’s face every day when sickness had tried to take it away. The family would like to thank Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise for making us feel like family. Another special thanks to our dear friend, Martha Clay, for everything she did for not only our mother but for the entire family. We will be forever grateful. God truly blessed us with wonderful people during these last few years. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
