Maxine Sawyer

Maxine Sawyer, age 83 of Sharonville passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 3:00 PM. She was born in Manchester, Kentucky on June 7, 1924 the daughter of Luther and Daisy (Buttery) Rogers. Maxine was employed as a lab assistant at Proctor & Gamble and an inspector at General Electric, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Nilles Pointe Baptist Church. On July 31, 1953 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana she married Charles Sawyer, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

She is survived by a son, Raymond (Patti) Sawyer of Loveland; two daughters, Shelia (Donald) Huesing of Ross and Lisa Sawyer of Sharonville; four grandchildren, Heather and Kristen Huesing of Ross, and Amanda and Stephanie Sawyer of Loveland; a brother, Arnold Rogers of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; four sisters, Rose Hibbard, Ruth Robinson, both of Hamilton, Dorothy Ann Halcomb of Fairfield, and Bernetta Hurley of New Miami; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Lawrence, Alden, Herbert, Edward, Jimmy, and Dewey Rogers; and four sisters, Margaret Anglin, Mary McKibben, Viola Goos, and Lucy Garrett.

Funeral service will be held at the Nilles Pointe Baptist Church, 5177 Winton Road, Fairfield, on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Doug Morgan, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville, Indiana. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. If desired, memorials may be made to Nilles Pointe Baptist Church.
