Maxine Turner

Maxine Turner, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Doverwood on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 1:00 AM. She was born in Berea, Kentucky on September 24, 1930 the daughter of Minter and Grace (Hollandsworth) Willis. On November 28, 1957 in Hamilton she married Jim Turner. Maxine was employed as the Book Mobile driver and then as a supervisor for the Lane Public Library for several years. She will always be remembered for her fun loving and outgoing personality.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Turner; one son, Jim "Grumpy" (Jalah) Turner; one grandson, Seth Turner; six siblings, Carolyn (Chuck) Ramsey, Geralene (Ralph) Hazelwood, Jim (Janine) Willis, Gene (Pat) Willis, Sandy Hacker, and Josh (Ruth) Willis; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Willis.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 12:00 PM with her brother, Rev. Josh Willis of Grace Chapel officiating.
