Mel Peters

Melvin C. “Mel” Peters, age 83 of Trenton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025 at 4:25pm. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 25, 1942, the son of Lawrence and Elona (Cash) Peters. Mel was an avid Nascar fan, boater and golfer for many years, loved to travel in his various RVs/Motorhomes, ride his Harley Davidson and play with his dog, Remi.

Mel is survived by his son, Steven (Heidi) Peters of Springfield; stepsons, Dennis (Shavonne) Martin and Brent Martin both of Trenton; grandchildren, Josh (Makana) Hayes of Fairborn, Gavin Russell, Grant and Blake Peters all of Springfield; great-granddaughter, Dawn; bonus granddaughter, Cassie Fisher of Trenton; special friend, Ruth Fisher of Kings Mill; brothers, Jim Peters of Hamilton and Jerry Peters of Liberty, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mel was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Peters; sister, Marlene Glaab; sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Peters and Mary Peters; and brother-in-law, Lee Schneider.

Family and friends are invited to attend services on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave, Trenton, OH 45067. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be held at Butler County Memorial Park.
