Melinda “Millie” Singleton, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Melinda was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 17, 1942 to the late Floyd and Anna (Hurt) George. Known to most as Millie, she graduated from Taft High School, Class of 1960. On the day after graduation, Melinda married the love of her life, LeRoy and together they raised a family in Hamilton. Melinda spent nearly three decades at Ohio Casualty Insurance Company, retiring in the late 1990’s as a supervisor in the claims department. In retirement, she and LeRoy moved to Treasure Island, Florida for many years before returning to Hamilton in 2006. Melinda served as a deacon at the Presbyterian Church of Hamilton. She also worked at The Pleasantree in Fairfield for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
Melinda will be dearly missed by her daughter, Deanna (Bill) Oliver; her grandsons, Alex and Clint (Kelsey) Oliver, her sisters, Patty (Ken) Griessmann and Sharon (Bill) Beals; her brother, Dennis (Sue) George; and numerous other family members and friends.
Melinda is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 59 years, LeRoy Singleton and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home – Westside Chapel, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013, with Rev. John Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Millie’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or Queen City Hospice.
