Melissa J. Reeves

Melissa J. Reeves, age 52 of Hamilton passed away in Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 12:20 AM. She was born in Mt. Healthy on August 5, 1956 the daughter of Herman and Dinah (Short) Hurst. Melissa was a member of New Beginning Tabernacle. On June 5, 1990 in Hamilton she was married to Wendell Reeves.

She is survived by her husband, Wendell Reeves of Hamilton; her parents, Herman and Dinah Hurst of Chesapeake, Virginia; one son, Travis Reeves of Hamilton; one brother, William (Beverly) Fittro of Chesapeake, Virginia; two sisters, Michelle Lynch of St. Augustine, Florida and Diane (Tom) Flinchum of Rising Sun, Indiana; and one granddaughter, Brianna.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Charles Petit, Pastor of New Beginning Tabernacle, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
