Melonie A. Osterheldt

Melonie A. Osterheldt, age 67, of Hamilton, formerly of Dayton, passed away at Huntington Court on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Melonie was born in Dayton, Ohio, on October 14, 1956, to the late Vernon and Martha (Carpenter) Berger. She attended Wayne High School in Huber Heights and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Before attending mortuary school, Melonie worked for Kroger and explored various career options before finding her true calling in funeral service. She primarily served families as a preplanning specialist at Robeson Funeral Home.

Melonie is survived by her son, Eric Osterheldt, and his father, Robert Osterheldt; her grandchildren; her siblings, Dick, Jennifer, and Mary; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Richard, and her brother Tom.

Services will be held at a later date.
