Merl R. Falkenstein

Merl R. Falkenstein, age 79 of Eaton, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on Friday, August 21, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on October 31, 1935 to Russel and Marie (Schwab) Falkenstein. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Merl worked at Ralston Purina, Pillsbury, Dana Corp. and retired from General Mills. In his younger years, Merl was a bull rider at various rodeos.

He is survived by his children Kim (Ralph) Reidell and Todd Falkenstein; grandchildren Steven and Alexander Reidell; one sister Verle Farmer; nieces Anne and Jean and a nephew Russell. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dotti, sons James and John, nephew Dale and brother in law Leo.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11 AM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.
