Merle F. Durbin, age 81 of West Harrison, Indiana passed away at his home on Saturday, January 31, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on January 14, 1934 to Andronicus and Emma (Tipton) Durbin.
He is survived by his children, Tim Durbin, Eric (Cathy) Durbin, and Karen (Dave) Chaney; 7 grandchildren, James, David, Matt, Randy, Nicole, David, and Leah; 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Kathleen Brinkman, Jean Kiwala, Carolyn (Philip) Ohlinger, and Delina Mistler; a brother; Pat (Carol) Durbin; a brother-in-law, Dale Bufler; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Durbin; 2 brothers, Andy and Mike Durbin; 3 sisters, Margie Bufler, Rose Minor, and Dorothy Durbin.
A memorial service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
