Michael C. Asch

Michael C. Asch, age 72 of Fairfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Mike was born in Paducah, Kentucky on August 25, 1950 to Charles Asch and Edna (Egger) Lowe. After graduating from Lloyd High School in Erlanger, KY, he joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam from 1969-1970. Mike retired from GE after 25+ years of service. His passion was old cars, especially his ’32 Ford Coupe that he built and drove to numerous car shows over the years. He was a member of the Hill Toppers Car Club. Mike was a caring and very giving man, always putting others needs before his own. He had a massive wealth of knowledge of cars and their workings and had a willingness to help others; he did it whether it was somebody he knew or somebody he just met. Mike was a great help to many, and whether it was a hot rod, street rod, or classic car, he loved them all.

Mike was the best brother, and is survived by his brother, Mark Asch; companion, Bonnie Fliehman; longtime friend, Carol Kroft; and numerous other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service, open to all, will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington, Kentucky, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Mike was loved by many and will be missed by many more. Many thanks of appreciation for those at Mercy South Hospital and Hospice of Hamilton who gently cared and watched over him.
