Michael Scott (Mikey) Day

Michael Scott (Mikey) Day, age 25, of Hamilton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, May 7, 2008. He was born in Hamilton on October 20, 1982 the son of William D. Sr. and Kimberly Gail (Jones) Day. Michael was a 2001 graduate of Hamilton High School and was employed at Graphic Packaging for over five years. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cornhole, and being with his friends. Michael was a great man who knew no strangers, and was loved by everyone. He was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church. On May 7, 2005 in Hamilton he married Brandi Nichole Parvin.

He is survived by his father, William D. Day Sr. of Hamilton; his grandfather, Robert Jones of Hamilton;a brother, William "Billy" Day Jr. of Hamilton; three nephews, Micheal, David, and Matthew; his best friends, Sandy Cox of Hamilton and Ty Combs of Fairfield; and too many other close friends to mention. He’s also survived by his wife, Nicki Day of Hamilton; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charlene and Harry Parvin and two sisters-in-law, Heather and Tahisha Parvin, all of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Day; grandparents Virginia Jones, Elmo and Lucille Day, and Edith (Chestnut) Catron; and a cousin, Christopher Aaron Jones.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 PM.
