Michael Wayne Hicks

Michael Wayne Hicks, age 59 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. Mike was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 10, 1962 to Samuel Hicks and Mazlene (Jordan) Hicks.  Mike was employed at Marcell’s Towing Service for over 30 years.  He always worked to provide for his family.  He enjoyed going fishing, going to the gambling boat, and watching his grandkids sporting events.  He loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals.  He was an avid demolition derby driver, running those big yellow pintos #106.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Hicks; two daughters, Kristen (Antonio)  Garay and Kayla Hicks; his grandchildren, Alaina aka Half Pint, Antonio Jr. aka Lead Head, Michael aka Wild Man, Ethan aka Dennis the Menace, and Aubrey aka Piglet; one great grandson and Pop Pop’s side kick, baby Tez aka Tazmanian Devil; and one sister, Sharron (Randy) Hicks; his grand dog Gia; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Hicks and Mazlene Hicks; one son Michael Wayne Hicks Jr.; one sister Shawna Felix; one niece, Michelle Hicks; and one great niece Gabby Church.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, July  1, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wendell Coning officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.  The family also wants to express a huge thank you to the Heritage Pride Motorcycle Club, which includes Mike’s Brother in Law Jerry Gray, and everyone else who has contributed in some way to help during this difficult time.  The family would also like to invite everyone that will to a reception at the Hamilton Dream Center, 725 Campbell Ave. Hamilton, OH 45011, immediately following the cemetery.
