Michael Neil Hubbard

October 27, 1942 — August 19, 2024

Michael Neil Hubbard, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on August 19, 2024, after an 8-year battle with lung cancer. Known to most as Mike, he was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on October 27, 1942, to the late Joseph and Rose (Scott) Hubbard. He retired in 2005 from Martin Marietta (Successor to American Aggregates) where he was a member of the United Steelworkers Union. Mike enjoyed listening to music, hosting family gatherings, and working on home projects, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, his wife of over 60 years. He was also an avid Bengals and Reds fan. Mike is survived by his wife, Lizzie (Hurley) Hubbard; two sons, Gary (Beth) Hubbard of Hamilton and Dave (Denise) Hubbard of Camden; daughter Teresa (Frank) Wright of Eaton; grandchildren James, Josh, Bradley “Jack”, Carrie Sue, Brooklyn, Ashlyn, Madison, Megan, Macy; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and William; and three sisters, Thelma, Lucy and Ruby. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Christ Commission Temple, 155 N. Main St., Camden, OH 45311 with Pastor Larry Davidson officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Hospice of Hamilton.
