Michael Alan "Mike" Mcintire

Michael Alan "Mike" McIntire, age 56 of Reily Township passed away, lost in the storm near Mumfordville, Kentucky and was found by the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. He was born in Butler County on May 10, 1951 the son of Homer C. and Delores Ruth (Atkins) McIntire. Mike was a pipe fitter, employed by Local #392 for over 25 years. An avid fisherman, he was a very loving and compassionate man who loved his children.

He is survived by a son, Justin (Becca) McIntire of Corbin, Kentucky; two daughters, Angela Marcus and Danette McIntire, both of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Johnny, Patty, Tyler, Josh, Gabe, Cody, and Sierra; his sister who cared for him, Cheryl Lovejoy of Reily Township; a niece, Christie (John) French and a special niece, Tracy (Brian) Agee; an aunt, Catherine Gibson; many cousins, including Danny, Linda, Tim, Tonya and Liz; and his dog Spike, whom he worshiped. He was preceded in death by his parents; a special brother-in-law, Jim Lovejoy; and grandparents John and Mae McIntire, Daisy Mays, and Volina Brockston Atkins.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joshua Long of Westwood Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Reily Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westwood Presbyterian Church. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dave and Kim for all their care and concern.
