Michael James Medley

Michael James Medley, age 77 of Fairfield, passed away peacefully, with his family at his bedside, on Monday, August 15, 2022. Michael was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 6th, 1944 to the late Ellis and Mary (Frasier) Medley. Michael married Barbara (Webb) Medley on May 16, 1972.  He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.

Michael was a Vietnam Veteran, career sales leader, businessman, world-champion pool player and loved dancing. He opened Michael’s Billiards in July of 1991 with a vision of building THE premier billiard hall in the US. Michael also spent many years as General Sales Manager with Mike Alberts, Superior, and Kerry automotive organizations.

Michael became a champion bank pool player who’s passion for billiards started at the age of 13. He travelled the country playing tournaments in his younger years before focusing on a career in automotive sales. In his 40’s he decided to focus on his passion for billiards and opened Michael’s Billiards in Fairfield.

Michael had a passion God, life and for people, he developed friendships that have lasted his lifetime because he truly invests in and cares for people. His influence and impact on his family and friends will last generations.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara (Webb) Medley; son, Joshua (Julie) Medley; daughter, Nichole Medley; son, Tony (Susan) Guidi; son, Mark (Kelly)  Feyock; daughter Tina Kemper; Steven Bowling Jr, nephew; grandchildren, Michael Martin Medley, Carley Medley, Alex Hornsby, Wes (Heather) Hornsby, Lauren Guidi, Sam (Shelby) Hornsby, Wyatt (Sidney) Hornsby, Grace (Dalton) Guidi, Ty Hornsby, Britany (Eric) Dominguez, Chloe Feyock, Paige Feyock, Sophie Feyock; Amanda Kemper; and many great grandchildren,; his siblings, Ronald Medley, brother; Darlene (Bernie) Medley Phloen, sister; and many other family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Ellis Medley and Mary Medley, sister Patricia (Tarter) Esz.

While Michael will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he would want everyone to know that he was prepared and eager to meet his Lord and Savior. He had run his race and finished like the champion he is.

Funeral services will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6010 Princeton Glendale Rd, Hamilton Ohio, on Friday August 19, 2022 at 12:00PM with Rev. Barry Clardy officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be held just prior to the funeral at 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Princeton Pike Church of God.
