Michael J. Sonny

Michael Joseph Sonny, age 75 of Cincinnati, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. Mike was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on October 15, 1948 to John and Caroline Sonny. On May 2, 1970 he married Betty Jean Blevins. Mike retired from Procter and Gamble after 32 years of service. Mike was a devoted husband, father and was a proud and committed grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, avid sports fan and helping others with their projects.

Mike and Betty are survived by their sons, Jon (Lisa) Sonny and David (Jillian) Sonny; grandchildren, Justin, Dylan, R.J., Maura, and Poppy; her father, Bill Smith; and his siblings, Andrew Sonny, Donald Sonny and Elizabeth Taylor. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, John and Caroline Sonny; and his siblings, John Sonny and Barbara Brenneman. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma Jean Smith and Edward Blevins; and her siblings, Johnny and Mary Jane Smith.

Visitation will be held at Fairfield West Baptist Church, 5345 Muskopf Rd, Fairfield, Ohio, on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11:30AM-12:30PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 12:30 PM at the church with Pastor Rob Rosenbalm officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
