Michael James Pate

Michael James Pate, age 77 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Monday, July 10, 2023. Mike was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 9, 1946 to Joseph and LaVerne Pate. Mike graduated from Garfield High School and attended college at Otterbein, where he met his wife, Hilda McIntyre. On August 6, 1966, he married the love of his life, Hilda. Mike continued his father’s business, Pate Appliance, which has been passed on to the next generation. Outside of work, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by his sons, Scott (Julie) Pate, Thomas (Melissa) Pate and Adam (Deana) Pate; his grandchildren, Michael (Sophia), Elizabeth, Joshua, Abigail and Matthew Pate; his brother, Joseph (Annette) Pate; and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 45 years, Hilda Pate; and his siblings, Marion “Peegee” and Marie Pate.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hamilton Church of God, 1760 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio.  Funeral service will be held at Hamilton Church of God on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Alan Weaver & Pastor Elby Harrison officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, 1245 Ross Ave, Hamilton, OH 45013.
