Mike Barrett

Mike Barrett, age 63 of Fairfield passed away at Cleveland Clinic on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 9:01 AM. He was born in Hamilton on November 5, 1948 the son of Burt and Ethel (Goins) Barrett. Mike was employed by the City of Fairfield for 25 years, retiring in 2006. On January 25, 1990 in Hamilton he married Jeanine Sapp.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Barrett of Fairfield; a son, Ian (Mandy) Barrett of South Lebanon; two daughters, Carla (Buster) Kinkaid of Ross and Kim Boian-Socha of Maineville; two brothers, Lowell (Cindy) Barrett of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jan (Gloria) Bryant of Colerain; a sister, Dorcas McGinley of Gainsville, Georgia; six grandchildren, Bryan Kinkaid, Cala Groh-Kinkaid, John Kinkaid Jr., Jada Socha, Maya Barrett, and Bryce Barrett; and two great-grandchildren, Eva Kinkaid and Leila Kinkaid. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Barrett.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Carmody of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
