Mildred Hale

Mildred Irene (Scarth) Hale, age 86 a resident of Hamilton, OH passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Katherine Claxton. She was born in Hamilton, OH on June 11, 1928, the daughter of Lucille (Geisler) and Roy Foster Scarth. Mildred grew up in Hamilton, OH and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1946. On May 31, 1947 in Covington, KY she married Arthur Clayton hale and celebrated 61 years of marriage until his death in March, 2009.

She is survived by her 7 children; Julia (Lester) Lunsford, Mt. Morris, MI; Peggy (Wayne)Day, Reily, OH; Lois (Paul) Lackey, Liberty, IN; Arlene (Brad) Nichol, College Corner, OH; Nancy Hogan, Alamogordo, NM; Kate (Rick) Claxton, Hamilton, OH; and John (Jennifer) Hale, Okeana, OH; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Hazel Warman, College Corner, OH and Wilma (Cliff) Payne, Fairfield, OH; 2 brothers, Melvin (Darlene) Scarth, Cado Mills, TX and Elmer (Diane) Scarth, Hamilton, OH; many nieces, nephews as well as numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Hale; a brother, Eugene Scarth; a grandson, Richard Lunsford; and a great-grandson, Aaron Lunsford.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 12Noon with Pastor Arlene Nichol of River of Life Worship Center, Liberty, IN officiating. Burial will follow at Reily Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 10AM-12Noon at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.
