Mildred Kovar

Mildred Kovar, age 87, of Trenton, passed away at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center on Friday May 25, 2007. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on July 3, 1919 the daughter of Frank Kyte and Beatrice (Flennor) Denton. Mildred was employed at Beckett Paper Co. for 28 years retiring in 1981. In 1936 in Newport, Kentucky she married Sam Kovar who passed away in 1992.

She is survived by her daughter, Darita Allen-Ferguson of Trenton; four grandchildren, Kimberly (David) White, James (Sherri) Allen, Mark Allen, and Lisa (John) Huston; 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Danny Denton of Telford, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Simeon Kovar; two brothers, Clyde and Gordon Kyte; and a sister, Betty Harmon.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Wednesday May 30th at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Mullins Jr. and Rev. Diane Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM.
