Mildred M. Mount

Mildred M. Mount, age 100 of Hamilton, passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. She was born in Castine, Ohio on February 9, 1909 the daughter of John V. and Ida (Nogle) Garber. Mildred was a clerk at Vine Street Market for over 20 years. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed traveling. She was a founding member of First Millville Baptist Church. On December 23, 1932 in Greenville, Ohio she married Russell V. Mount, who passed away in April of 1958.

She is survived by a daughter, Edna Rathburn of Hamilton; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Mount of Hamilton; a sister, Ruth Shaffer of West Manchester; a sister-in-law, Connie Garber of Arcaum; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, James Mount; a daughter, Doris Thomas; three brothers, Robert, William, and Kenneth "Gene"; a sister, Edith; and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 12 noon with Pastor James Cecere II of First Millville Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM till 12:00 noon. Committal service and burial will be 2:00 PM Monday in Mound Hill-Union Cemetery, Eaton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Millville Baptist Church Building Fund.
