Millard Hisle

Millard Hisle, age 86 of Oxford passed away at Huntington Court on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 6:50 PM. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky on March 26, 1921 the son of Greely and Amanda (Wells) Hisle. Millard was employed as a press operator at Fisher Body for 32 years. Millard was a member of Oxford Church of God. On July 2, 1940 in Richmond, Kentucky he married Elrena Louise Challis.

He is survived by his wife, Elrena Louise Hisle of Oxford; three children, Marlene Bowling of Oxford, Pearl Lawson of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Diane Adolph of Oxford; seven grandchildren, Robert and Patricia Bowling, Linda Witt, Leslie Horchak, Terry Lawson, and Michael and David Libecap; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Millard Douglas Hisle; and eleven siblings.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Albert Phillips and Rev. Larry Stevison officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM.
