Millard Lakes

Millard Lakes, age 95 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Millard was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 27, 1926 to Walker Lakes and Grace (Coates) Lakes.  On April 23, 1955, in Hamilton, he married Marjorie Day, and she preceded him in death in 1992.  Millard was a United States Navy Veteran serving during WWII from 1944 – 1946.  He was a worldwide traveler, and especially enjoyed going on cruises with his family.  Millard was an avid card player and especially enjoyed playing bridge.

Millard is survived by his four children, Michael (Katie) Lakes, of Cranberry Township, PA, Melanie (Edward) Dean, of Palm City, FL, Marc (April) Lakes, of Hamilton OH, and Meredith Lakes of Hamilton, OH; four grandchildren, Chelsea (Cody) Carpenter, Noah (Kalesta) Lakes, Eddie Lakes, and Allie Lakes; two great grandchildren, Colton Carpenter and Chloe Carpenter; and his constant companion, Mason, his dog that was by his side until the end.  Millard was preceded in death by his spouse Marjorie Lakes, his parents, and one daughter, Madelaine Lakes.

Private graveside services will take place at the convenience of the family.
