Millie Ann Rooks

Millie Ann Rooks, age 95 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 14, 1926 the daughter of Bethel and Nancy (McQueen) Winkler.  On April 9, 1946, she married William R. Rooks and he preceded her in death in 1989.  She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord.  If you could not find her, a yard sale or local thrift store was a good place to look.  She loved finding treasures and had a love for collecting dolls.  Millie never met a stranger and loved to share her life stories.

She is survived by two children, Joe (Susann) Rooks and Kathey (Rod) Harmon; grandchildren, Joseph Robert Rooks, Jr., Brian Christopher Peterson, Ashley Lauren Scott, and Brandon Rooks, and Morgan Paige Peterson; great granddaughter; and a host of extended grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Larry Peters of  Full Gospel Church of God, officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
