Milton B. "Buck" Barger, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 9:35 PM. He was born in Bowlingtown, Kentucky on April 26, 1925 the son of Ford and Dora (Bowling) Barger. Buck was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was employed as a die setter at Fisher Body for 31 years, retiring in 1981. Buck was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Krypton, Kentucky. On March 2, 1946 in Bowlingtown, Kentucky he married Jean Bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Bowling) Barger of Hamilton; four children, Keith (Sharon) Barger of Cordova, Tennessee, Anthony (Patsy) Barger, Larry (Gina) Barger, both of Hamilton, and Sandra Loeffler of Cashmere, Washington; three brothers, Kenneth (Johnetta) Barger, George (Gayle) Barger, and Roger (Theresa) Barger, all of Richmond, Kentucky; a sister, Sue (Shelby) Noe of Richmond, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Homer, Bill, Ford Jr., and Robert Barger; and two sisters, Pauline Bowling and Christine Neace.
Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Gary L. Clemmons of Liberty Heights Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. There will be a gathering for family and friends at the St. Clair Township Community Center, 2488 Summit Street, Overpeck, immediately following the committal service.
