Minnie E. Humbert

Minnie E. Humbert, age 86 of Liberty, Indiana passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 6:00 AM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on December 9, 1920 the daughter of Elijah and Lucy (Valentine) Hensley. Minnie was a member of Brown’s Chapel. On November 12, 1945 in London, Kentucky she married Charles Humbert, and he preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Otis) Smith of Liberty, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jeff (Kristina) Minton, Gina Hunley, Sherry (Buck) Brown, David (Karen) Smith, and Dwayne Smith; nine great-grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Jarrod, Douglas, and Draven Minton, Caleb and Nicole Hunley, Chris Preston, and Amanda (Brad) Butler; two great-great-grandchildren, Bianca and Jacob; a brother, Burton Hensley of Florida; and four sisters, Harriet Wilburn of Kentucky, Ada Hyde of Reily Township, Nell Davis of West Chester, and Bess (Clarence) Milton of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Humbert; two brothers, Dan Hensley and Logan Hensley; granddaughter, Wendy Lynn Minton; and a great-grandson, Kyle.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. James House officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
