Minnie Lawson, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away suddenly due to an automobile accident on Friday, March 14, 2014. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on February 8, 1936 to Wiley and Carrie Bright. She dedicated her life to God, her family, and to her church. She worked at Hydes Resturant as a waitress for 52 years. She was known and loved as "Minnie Ha Ha’’. She will be greatly missed by so many. You never left the house hungry or without a hug and "I love you".

Minnie is survived by her daughters Brenda Gray, Zandra Sue Scalf, and Judy Minor; grandchildren Brian (Tami) Gray, Rusty (Celina) Scalf, Raeann (Josh) Gage, Melinda (David) Cramer, Rick Minor Jr., Greg Scalf, Mark Scalf, Jodi Scalf, and Cassie Scalf; 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, brother in law Paul Siler, sister in law Dorothy Jones and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband H.D. Lawson, son Wendal Lawson, and son in law Rayford Scalf and six brothers.

Funeral service will be held at Croley Funeral Home, 103 S. Second St., Williamsburg, Kentucky, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 12 NOON with Pastor Vernon Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Lawson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 3-8 PM at the Paducah Avenue Baptist Church 6859 Paducah Avenue, Hamilton and on Thursday March 20, 2014 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Croley Funeral Home.
