Mr. Gerald Kenton "K" Glidewell Iii

Gerald Kenton "Mr. K" Glidewell III, age 48 of Hamilton passed away at University Hospital, Cincinnati, on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. He was born in Oxford on October 10, 1959 the son of Gerald K. Jr. and Patsy L. (Poling) Glidewell. Ken was employed at Aces & Eights Harley-Davidson in Mason. He was a long term employee of WEBN as an on air personality. Mr. K played bass and wrote songs for several bands, including Chem Dyne, Big in Iowa, and the Tequila Kings.

He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Patsy Glidewell; a brother, Kevin Glidewell and companion Mary Gill; a sister, Tracy Boraz; two nieces, Jessica LaGory and Julia Glidewell; two great-nephews, Aidan LaGory and Collin LaGory; a longtime companion, Abby Marcum and her children, Jason Zimmerer and Kasey Marcum; and his dog, Lyric, who was named because of Mr. K’s love of music.

Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of memorial service at 4:00 PM. Cremation has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mr. K Memorial Fund through any Fifth Third Bank. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the SICU staff at University Hospital for their care and concern.
